What kind of products does EMS produce?

EMS has the capability to produce cables, harnesses, PCB’s, Electro-Mechanical Box Builds and prototypes plus we specialize in “Dirty Jobs” like those tedious or labor-intensive jobs creating bottlenecks in your production line.

What are “Dirty Jobs”?

Any product or process that impedes your production efficiencies.

Does EMS allow customer supplied components and do you have a dedicated inventory location for those?

Yes, we allow customer supplied components and we have a specific caged location in our inventory where we maintain those components.

Do we accept stocking agreements and or blanket orders?

Yes, EMS accepts stocking agreements and blanket orders.

How many years has EMS been in business?

EMS became incorporated in August of 2006.

How many square feet of production does EMS have?

EMS currently has 20,000 sq. ft. of production area, we are located on 70 acres with plenty of room to expand.

Do we have engineering and test capabilities?

Yes, EMS has on-staff Electrical Engineers that can provide engineering services as well as design and build test fixtures.

Do we offer quick turn proto- type builds?

Yes, EMS offers quick turn options for our customers.

Do we accept low EAU builds?

Yes, EMS has built quantities from 1 to 200,000 pieces per order for our customers.

What files do I need to request a quote?

Required:
i. Bill of materials with manufacturer and manufacturer part numbers (preferably in excel format).
ii. Gerber files (for pcb assembly).

Preferred:
i. Assembly drawing.
ii. Test Requirements.
iii. Pictures of sample unit.
iv. XY Centroid placement file
v. Quality and Regulatory Requirements. (i.e. RoHS, Reach, UL, ITAR, IPC-610)
vi. Special instructions/requirements.

Minimum lead pitch of 12 mil

What size SMT components can you place?

Capable of 01005's up to 4"x4" at speeds up to 15K CPH/per line.

What is the thickest printed circuit board you can process?

0.200”

What is the thinnest printed circuit board you can process?

0.020”

What is the largest PCB you can process?

Max panel size of 23.5" x 18.5"

What is the smallest PCB you can process?

Min panel size of 2”x2”

What design software is EMS compatible with?

EMS uses Altium Designer in-house. However, we can import files from other major software vendors. 

What type of conformal coating do you use?

EMS is Setup for Acrylic, Silicone, and Urethane Materials (more with possible tooling charge) with a max area of 18”x18”x4”

What is the smallest and largest size wires you can cut and terminate?
  1. We have machine processing capabilities from 32AWG to 6AWG and can process larger cables manually.
What is EMS's quality policy?
